St. John Church Fastnacht

German pancake and sausage Dinner Tuesday before Ash Wednesday each year. The day before Ash Wednesday activity at the church hall starts with a family style dinner of pancakes, sausage, applesauce and doughnuts from 5 to 8 p.m., and ends with German music by the New Hanover Deutschmeisters from 6 to 8 p.m. The cost for the evening is $8 for adults and $3 for children ages 6-12. Spring Art Show

The show is sponsored by Historic Maeystown. Its mission is to highlight and recognize the works of local artists in the Monroe and Randolph County area. Art will be displayed from 11:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m in the ballroom of Corner George Inn and at the Preservation Society Mill and Museum both days. Maeystown Paint Out

Historic Maeystown invites all artists who love to paint in the open air--plein air--to come to Maeystown for our annual Plein Air Paint Out. Registration begins at the Rock Mill at 8:30 a.m. with coffee, tea and donuts provided. Painting time will begin at 9:00a.m. and end at 3:00p.m. A display of the day's work will be held at the mill from 3:00-4:00p.m. for the public.
